Description:

Our client is a specialist Piling Contractor and has experienced one of its busiest years to date. They are one of the leading steel sheet piling specialists in the UK and ambrace the most current technology including a patented pile installation method and this is backed up by the largest steel sheet pile stockholding in Scotland and North of England.

 


In order to apply for this role, you must be a Qualified Civil Engineer.

Due to a current expansion programme, they require an experienced Assistant Contracts Manager/Engineer who will share responsibility for estimating, QA, project progress & engineering issues.


Job Duties Include:


- Develop and maintain a safety conscious culture at all levels, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and pro-actively managing safety related issues.

- Undertake design and tender activity within the team, ensuring that estimates are delivered in such a manner that maximises the potential to obtain the order.

- Ensure design and tender documents produced from within the team are checked in accordance with QA procedure.

- Ensure that all orders are acknowledged promptly. 

- Maintain reporting and measurement systems, utilising information in a pro-active manner to plan and report.

- Ensure accurate records are maintained in respect of forward orders.

- Where required attend sales/pre contract/client meetings.

- Ensure compliance with all safety and statutory obligations, including all QA activity.

- Maintain and improve the professional and progressive image of the company.

Salary & Package Available:

According to experience, but may be up to £35,000 + excellent benefits.
