Description:

This organisation currently employ over 150 personnel and employ who they consider to be the best in the building services industry. They have offices throughout the UK and Internationally.


Their engineers are carefully selected from professionally qualified engineers across the key specialist areas of mechanical, electrical, environmental, information technology, vertical transportation, public health, fire and safety engineering.


They encourage staff to continue with professional development and assist by setting up various in house and external programmes.


Some of their major clients at present are BT, National Royal Infirmaries, Hilton Hotels, Asda and a multitude of other prestigous retail outlets.


The successful candidate will require to demonstrate flair, innovation and flexibility, be open and enthusiastic with good communication skills and have a track record in the building service design industry.

 


Job Purpose:

To provide high level technical/design engineering service to the Group acting as

Job Leader on projects as required.




Person Specification:

An Engineer must be able to deliver to the agreed technical standards. In addition to these skills they must be able to demonstrate a developing capability across all clients Core Competencies.

Demonstrate a commitment to CPD and self learning / development.


Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Job Leader if and where required.

• Communicate directly with Clients.

• Prepare technical and financial proposals for new work.

• Manage workload of Technicians (including verification of quality).

• Prepare and take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions

for detail design.

• Prepare Technical Specifications.

• Monitor financial performance of jobs.

• Set up and manage job/project administrative systems, including planning and

monitoring job resourcing/expenditure (adjusting these as necessary).

• Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design

decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved.

• Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters.
